Where is the pump located? Are you sure it is spinning? Are there any check valves anywhere is the system or inside the pump?

I have a maxim pellet boiler that I took on trade. The previous owner said it had a bad draft blower. I haven't gotten around to looking at it. Make offer if interested. Can get pictures if there is any interest.

I have a maxim pellet boiler sitting out in the shed. It was hooked to a 20 pound tank. I can try looking at it to see if it has any specs on it if that would help.

Central Boiler / Re: Storing Central Boiler

Is it going to be permanently disconnected or used again at a later time?

I would just drain it. Circulating water will require a heat source too ($$$ to keep it heated) and if the pump fails the damage will be much greater than corrosion from sitting empty. You won't know the pump failed like you would if it was heating your house.

If the lines are still going to be attached, I would get as much water out of them as you can and then fill lines with RV antifreeze.

Electronics / Re: Hardy H5

I think the float switch is the same as what heatmaster (and others) uses. I think they have a separate one for the light than for the water valve but it has been a while since I messed with one.
I have worked on a couple Hardy's and the wiring on them was all cobbled up. Half of the stuff disconnected, wires wirenutted together, limit switches bypassed etc.

I fixed the water fill on the last one I worked on. The customer had a new valve they wanted me to install. I changed it out and it still wouldn't fill. The tube into the boiler after the electric valve was plugged up. I think I was able to clear it with a wire.

Then the ECM pump would only save you about $3.50 to $4 per month.

What is the cost per kwh? What speed do you run the current pump on?

Is electricity expensive where you are? I have heard some places in Canada are real cheap and some are real expensive.

If it is high where you are, now would be a good time to switch to an ecm pump.

Yeah, getting a new one would be a new one would probably be smart.
You might be able to open that one up and clean it and getting it operational for a spare.

If you open it up, you should be able to pop the rotor assembly out of the silver can part. If there is any mineral buildup on anything, you could fill it up with vinegar and let it soak to dissolve it.

WoodMaster / Re: Woodmasters clean fire

A woodmaster dealer told me they are just selling Central Boilers.
He didn't really say if they would be labeled as Woodmaster or if they would be Central boiler labeled.

From what you described, I think recessing in an electrical duct from the panel to the ceiling would be as good as anything. Then you can either put a junction box at the top or just run the conduits right into the cover panel.

You could open up the pump and see if the impeller turns. If you remove the Allen head screws to motor should come off the head.
