For some reason I cannot access this site at my work. It tells me I have been banned and the ban is not set to expire. Can anyone help me out with this? There is a lot of good info on this site that I would like to be able to access during the day?
Thanks in advance

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / tips for digging a trench around utility lines
« on: May 11, 2013, 07:27:24 AM »
I've had my utility lines marked, and right now it appears that I will have to cross a phone line to get my insulated pex to the house. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for digging around utilities?

In doing research on boiler lines, i've come across both pex and pex-al-pex. Can someone tell me the difference in the two?

Plumbing / Where to buy pex
« on: April 03, 2013, 02:56:58 PM »
I'm looking for a place to sell the insulated pex lines. In doing a google search i find info on the specifics of the tubing, but nothing about pricing anywhere. can anyone steer me in the right direction. My local Heatmor Dealer quoted me $10/ft for their stuff (pexflex?) i understand you don't want to scrimp on this tubing, but is that price out of line?

Heatmor / New to Forum, New to OWB, buying Heatmor 200CSS
« on: March 29, 2013, 08:52:30 AM »
ey guys, I guess I'll be joining the faithful heatmor owners here! I got a heck of a deal through a relateive that works at heatmor on a rebuilt Heatmor 200. I don't know what the problem was but they repaired it and sold it at quite a discount including a warranty. I have to get the details on exactly what the warranty covers yet as I am in the early stages of purchasing
anyways i just wanted to say hi!

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Bye Bye Propane man!!!!!
« on: March 27, 2013, 07:47:05 PM »
Well through a relative that works for heatmor I got a tremendous deal on a 200 CSS? Its a factory refurbished unit that has a warranty. How much can I expect to spend on all the incidentals? Pex, HX, fittings and the like? I'm looking at putting it 40-50 feet from the house.

Equipment / Jonsered 535 Problem
« on: February 14, 2012, 02:47:33 PM »
I bought a Jonsered 535 used from a buddy of mine. its my first saw and I'm fairly new to the world of chainsaws so forgive me if this is a simple fix.
Once it warms up and I make 5-10 cuts on it, it seems to bog down and die on me when I give it gas. It will idle just fine. Do I have my chain too tight? what is the proper way to know if the chain is at the right tension?
Thanks in advance

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Installing in a Doublewide Mobile home??
« on: January 23, 2012, 08:15:46 AM »
I own a doublewide moble home sitting on a full slab, aprox 1500 sq ft. I currently heat it with a forced air LP furnace. My question(s) is/are, how do I go about installing a heat exchanger in my furnace, from my knowledge there isn't much space, am i going to need a new furnace? or just get a professional to do it
Also, when I run the lines under the house through the skirting, is it ok for them to run on top of the slab? or do I need to cut out the slab where the lines are to run and run them up through the floor to the furnace?
I'm about a year away from buying an OWB, but I want to know as much about what I need to do so I can do as much of the work as I can.
Thanks in advance.

Heatmor / Another Heatmor 200 question
« on: December 28, 2011, 09:08:33 AM »
Locally a person is selling a used HM200 for $1700. I have a 1500 square foot doublewide mobile home. In the future I want to build a 2 car garage/shop and also heat this off the boiler (boiler lines run through the slab.) Is this a good unit for this application? or is it going to be too much?

Central Boiler / Dual Fuel Units
« on: October 17, 2011, 07:18:52 AM »
Has anyone had any experience with the dual fuel boilers? This seems to be a very attractive option to me if its anything more than just hype. I would like to have the LP backup in case I end up working out of town and the wife can't make it out to fill the boiler or something like that.

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Financing an OWB
« on: October 06, 2011, 01:49:51 PM »
I realize there are many factors into the cost of a boiler,(size, model, hardware etc) but I'm trying to figure out now I can afford to finance one on an already tight budget. I know I will probably get alot of people saying how can I afford not to get one when propane is the way it is. I just need some concrete facts on average costs to bring to the boss...(aka wife)
What type of financing do you have, aproximatley what type of monthly payments would I be looking at, how long do you finance out for etc.
Thanks in advance.

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / New to the board, thinking about purchasing an OWB. Questions to ask.
« on: February 15, 2011, 09:16:25 AM »
Hello, I live in extreme northern MN where temps get to -40 in the coldest part of the winter I have a double-wide mobile home about 1600-1800 square feet. I
have not purchased an OWB yet but am contemplating it, as I spent $1700 in LP last year. Here are my questions...
How well will baseboards hooked up to the owb work in a situation like this? the furnace in my mobile home is in a tight area, and don't know how hard it would be
to add a heat exchanger?
Somebody that has an owb told me I could possibly run raidant lines back and forth on top of the slab underneath the house and that would make a noticable
increase in warmth in the house. this seems kind of outlandish to me, but i know next to nothing about what would/wouldn't work.
Are the previous questions crazy, and would my best bet be to get a heat exchanger installed in my furnace?
anybody have any wild guesses on how much wood I could potentially go through given the situations listed above?
Thank you in advance as i stated above, i'm contemplating purchasing one, but know little to nothing about them.
