Call NC directly. They have been very good at getting back to me.
I'd just buy a Grundfos water pump, forget the warranty, and the hassle. They run for a long time. I keep one as a back up.

It don't suck off of the bottom of the tank so I don't know what it is, I'm def not crazy about broeders, if it still under warranty call nc and have them allow you credit on the armstrong e9 pump, it's a much better design, flows more water and uses well under half the electricity of the broeder.
How long is the warranty on the pumps on these? My dealer is about douche I called him about these and said he was going to call them and see was going on but never calls back. Last year he quit answering the phone when I called. I tell people that ask me about unit I liked the unit but hate the dealer. I got hooked up with James vanhorn at NC been big help as well as this site
