Title: Logstor vs. Thermopex, and how to find dealer
Post by: agriffinjd on January 29, 2014, 02:07:53 PM
Which is better?  Why?  I've heard some say Logstor pex flex is better than Thermopex but with no explanation as to why.

Also, anyone know who is a dealer for Logstor?  The phone number 866-PEX-COIL listed on the Logstor website "has been disconnected."  I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and am trying to find dealers in Michigan and Wisconsin to get price quotes on the Logstor.

Thanks.

I have both kinds and don't see a big difference other than logstor pipe is a little bigger diameter for more flow. The pros will chime in soon with an explanation. I am interested as well.

I am also a dealer distributor here in the northeast, I will not bash the competition, LOOK at the brochure, I don't sell out of my area, buy from who you wish, I have not had a single problem with Logstor products and will sell nothing else, buy from your local dealer,,,,,,,,,,,,

That's the problem...I don't know who is a local dealer!  The dang number to Logstor has been disconnected.  Are there any Logstor dealers in Michigan or Wisconsin?

I've got a local dealer for thermopex but need one for Logstor.

Thanks.

Yea I ship anywhere its needed

Logstor 12.90/ft
thermopex 11.90/ft

Logstor far superior, has vapor barrier membrane, bigger pex for increased flow, case is thicker and tougher

Let me know if youd like a shipping quote?  Doesnt take long to get it to ya after payment clears

I'll take a shipping quote to zip code 49855.  I'll know in the spring once the snow is gone how much I'll need for sure.  I'm guessing about 100 feet for the run to the house and 30-40 feet for the run to the shop.

Yea well need an eexact measurement as weight will affect price.  It comes on a very large skid and I suspect shipping to be in neighborhood of 275

I plan on going with logstor from Scott to hook my new shed into my stove.  Will I need any special adapters to accommodate the larger pipe?  I will be hooking up to a Heatmaster 20,000e.  Reason I ask is something simple like this could delay my dealer for months!  This is no joke.  Those of you with good dealers have no idea how lucky you are!

its no problem I can ship the adapter fittings with the pipe

we use a fitting that is compression on one end and male pipe thread on the other, so that then on the male end u can simply thread on a female pex nipple and continue with regular style pex
