Had the same misfortune a few years back. Went to my local Stihl dealer and he had some used parts available from the traded in units in their boneyard.

They have an updated float available.

Which one? I keep looking at these. How long a log do you put through it, and how ugly a piece will it take?

I was looking at the woodlands mills chipper originally but the Wallenstein came up at an auction.
The WM unit appeared well built to me, but I thought it was made in Canada. I am not sure how the Wallenstein can be that much more in price?
A neighbor did buy one from another company, Wood Maxx, and I am sure he said it was an offshore unit with optional upgrades for some parts. Don't know how he likes it or if he still has it.
Good luck with a decision. Would they be able to tell you if anyone somewhat near you has one to look at?

Yikes!
I do see that they do advertise the intellifeed for those who want to do chips for biomass as it will maintain the chipping to a more consistent size.

These are prices from your local dealers or did you find them online?
I have a Wallenstein hydraulic feed Bx62r that I picked up at an auction sale, for more than the woodlands mills you have priced. It had little use before I got it, and I really haven't used it much yet either.
So how much for the Wallenstein BX102RPI, 10 inch hydraulic feed with winch and intellifeed?

Sounds like you have a crack in the fuel line inside the tank if it runs on its side, or the filter on the end of the fuel line is not able to move. Unsure on your saw, but our Echo pole saw and weed trimmer , the fuel line with filter and vent come as one part with the tank grommet (seal), 2 minute repair.

You also mentioned a hole in the primer bulb? Does it leak on you when you pump it?

Tough choice. But I will say I have a Stihl 291 with a primer and don't use it, don't think it makes a difference.
Aluminum vs plastic, ones colder than the other, neither stand up to getting run over by a tractor. Doh!

Interesting. I see that both P+M and Polar are both like that.
I am not sure why that would be as I see they are on USEPA list of approved outdoor wood heaters from June/18.
Maybe an administrator will look into this?

To me it would depend on the amount the insurance company is going to give you towards replacement.
From reading on the forums over the years if your Shaver lasted 11 years you're doing something right, but as you mentioned that it has a leak now I think it's days are numbered.
Depending on the amount they're offering I would really be considering replacing the Shaver.

I am much the same. On here every day, sometimes multiple times a day to see what's happening. Not a guy to respond to every thread unless I have something to add or help with. Also I watch a couple of the Facebook groups as most of the traffic seems to have gone there, and I used to be on the outdoor wood boilers site that is no longer.

I will say that I have no real information about the disagreement between Slim and Heatmaster. There's always 3 sides to any story, side 1, side 2 and the real truth. I'm not picking sides here, but I do usually pick the underdog.
Slim not being here is the reason for this site being as quiet as it is. The guy went above and beyond for the members here, responding to any problems you had or a simple question regardless of brand.

But that's how it goes I guess, time changes things. Been on here a while and seen other contributing members leave or stop posting, and though I never got to meet them in person, always considered them as a friend.
