Supply Return lines

I started my burner about a week ago and its working great. I noticed this morning the contractor who installed the water lines has the supply and return lines reversed.  How is this going to effect the supply line water temp, it seem to be working ok now. Wondering if it will effect my warranty.

I would call him and tell him to try again.  The supply lines are clearly marked when shipped form Heatmaster.  It probably won't affect your warranty, but I would call him back on it not being a properly finished job.  If you have enough slack in the lines, it shouldn't be difficult.  What I also wouldn't let him do is put a union on to extend the line unless it is a shark-bite fitting.

Do you think it affects the tem of the supply water, since it coming out of the top not the bottom

It will affect the circulation in the water jacket. Is the pump at the OWB or in the house?

SO the pump is connected to the top port and pumping away from the OWB? There would be a small arrow on the pump heat the shows water flow. I would make sure it is pointed away from the OWB.

Got bright yellow stickers on my 5000 from factory on both supply and return outlets gotta think waters hoter at base of fire box than at top arrow on pump down towards house

RSI, I said shark bite because there isn't a flow restriction. It attaches on the outside of the pipe and not the inside. Why would you not want those there?

The ones that go inside the pipe are only the equivalent restriction to 1 foot of pipe so not really a big deal.
