Wire Chimney Brushes For Cleaning Exchanger?

  Just wondering if one of those wire brushes meant for cleaning chimney flues would be a good idea for cleaning the exchanger on the top of the 20000 e?I measure it at 6" x 17", so would it be better to go with a 7" brush,or should I stay with a 6" ? The 6" brush is 6 x  10, the 7" brush is 7 x12
