Taco Bumble Bee Pump

Has anyone here used one of these? I like the fact it can be set to run on deltaT mode. Any comments?

I like the idea behind the pump, but I am kind of in the Grundfos boat right now, as I have installed the Alphas as of late. 

...If I had to redo, I would consider changing; will be interesting to hear your insight on how the pump works

Question

This newer Taco pump runs on your Delta T.

My stove is setup with older piping. I also have a large volume of water and "Batch" buy instead of cycling on and off.

Would this type of pump save anything vs. a Taco 009 pump? My loop runs into my house through my downstairs HX, up to my upstairs HX then into
my floor for radiant. I've never measured my Delta T so I'm not exactly sure what the temp is running back into the stove.

From what I understand the Delta T is important for OWB's due to their small water volume and the in coming water causing condensation
inside the firebox. Due to my higher water volume I don't have these issues (Save the argument, I just replaced a 20-25yr old stove with the same setup).

Will this type of pump help or benefit?

Side note: I do plan on changing my setup as funds are available and running zones.

It won't be any different on your system than any other.

The point of it running in delta t mode is just to save power. It will run slow to keep the pipes hot when you have no load and then when you start drawing heat it will increase the flow to supply enough heat for the demand.

I got my pump off amazon  maybe check prices, amazon had free shipping.   Does any one know if the sensors for the bumblebee will work if attached to pex? That's how mine is setup. No insulation on pipes in the house. Thanks guys

For my purchases last fall, I compared between SupplyHouse.com and PexUniverse.com -> I prefer pexuniverse, cause if I remember a tad cheaper on similar items

SupplyHouse.com  for me ...hell they have over 2500.00 from me just this month !! 2 day air to here is cheaper than buying in town ..by 30% shipping included!   1" to 1" uponor pex ball valve ....supply house 39$   ...town 68$  >>>>heat only   t-stat  54$........... town 98$ ......ouch!!
