Water nitrite problems??
« on: May 30, 2009, 07:30:07 PM »

Testing water per the central boiler test kit.. Ph 8.0 nitrite at 38. Drained 10 gals and refilled. Nitrite was 32 and ph was 6.. Book says it needs to be ph of 8.5 and nitrite level of 15-20. Main problem now is low ph with higher than normal nitrite. Any ideals........????? ???

How many tests can you make from one test kit and how much do they cost?

Test kit cost @20. If water is within the correct ph and nitrite range, I would guess you could probably run about 20 test. If your nitrite test results are high, you will use alot of chemical to obtain your test results.
