Did u get u some or that Gary air from back in the day when the plants were running?

Never really noticed it, air has cleaned up considerably though, we now have to pay for sulfur to be added to the fertilizer where before it used to be free from the rain.

As a tadpole 60 years ago I spent all summer about 10 miles north of Parry Sound so when it came time to retire I wanted a spot with less rock...LOL
Picked up a used P&M last fall for our tenants house across the lawn.  So impressed that I plan to tie it into our Geothermal system next spring! The lack of smoke, warmth of the house and  domestic water, comunications with P&M are all amazing for a DIY effort.
When we lived over there we kept the house about 18-19C and heated mostly with a free standing wood stove. The tenants keep it at 24C, even in the basement and are burning about the same wood.....

Yep lots a rock close to the bay
I'm 20 miles east of Parry Sound [McKellar]  in the rocks, woods and swamp.

Cottage was on Limestone Lake, property that my Grandmother bought before the war.....Sister still has the place and some of the land.
We are just outside of Bancroft....

During the forties my Grandmother ran Limestone Lake Lodge... bunch of single or double room cabins, no hydro or plumbing then...Her main customers were Americans who came for the bass fishing.
They tell me now that there are some pike in the lake as well.
Haven't seen the place in 30 years, not sure if I want to spoil memories.  If you can find a way in, McEwen Lake was our go to lake for walleye. Always fished at dusk with worms, one night we caught our limit, three of us in an 8 ft boat. Back then the limit was 15 pickeral EACH!  I was about 10 yrs old.  Seldom fish walleye now, been spoiled...

Private property around the whole lake.
It's small and the cottagers don't want anyone horning in on there fish....greed++

We got lots of other holes anyway.
We did close to 400 largies last summer in the area,, so no big loss.
We fished a lot, 40 hours a week .
We release most of them.

Ice fishin was cvrap this winter though

Weather Canada promises that we will loose some snow tomorrow, my driveway is partially down to dirt already.
Bancroft seems to be just north of the snow line this year. My son came for a visit and dug out his snowmobile last week...
