General Discussion / Re: An Ealy start to heating season
« on: September 24, 2022, 02:24:28 PM »
Had to have my wood delivered split this year. Rotator cuff surgery/ now hernia surgery set me way back. I hope it is mellow and late because we only have 4 cord :-\ Have a pile that is seasoned but not touched but I wont be ready to process any till December at the earliest. Fixed the inside heating stuff that needed fixing hope the outside is working good cannot really try and mess with it. You do not realize how important a strong back and weak mind is until your out of commission.

I replaced my cheap wrapped pipe years ago. It was noticeable and paid for itself by the second year.

Fire Wood / Clearing 3 acres
« on: July 31, 2020, 07:52:39 PM »
Been clearing 3 acres out back for a new nut grove. Holy hell I am getting old 6 or 7 hours ties me right up. Got a 14hp chipper and stump grinder from Home depot. They work great but hard on the shoulders wish I was 30 again. But I should get 2 years worth of firewood, Cherry and giant alders with 20 or so spruce in the mix. The pandemic has given me plenty of time to get stuff done.

Yes we got 40 or so trees to plant this year. I have to use a shovel sad to say ground is to wet for my bobcat. I tried driving out back once years ago and I had to leave it out back for 2 months until it dried up. I am going to plant a little bigger garden now that I am laid-off until this passes, construction is a no go right now so the mill is shut down.

Just wish everyone a safe spring now that we are all in this handbasket, not sure where it is going yet but we are in it.

You could always hide a good sized loop of it behind a homemade frame art work thing. They can print just about anything on material toady. It will be right in the room for maximum heat transfer.
