HeatMaster / Hey the bus is coming
« on: October 03, 2015, 02:39:04 AM »
AAAAH yes, it's that time of year again folks, the Schools are all open again, children waiting impatiently for the bus and the buses tying up traffic making the commuters late, Please use patience!
On another note, some of you are aware of the project that Dan, my wife Mary Lou and I have been working on, my old Ford and service trailer has seen a lot of miles, the trailer needed to be replaced and the ford is getting tired so we ventured into this new project, this is why I haven't been on as much lately!
We are not finished yet but this morning we will be headed for the Fryburg Fair again to promote our products and services, for those of you on here that may never see it, I thought I would post a few pictures, we give things close to us a nickname, the old ford was Willin, the old GM is the Gem, my wife Mary Lou goes by ML to her freinds and the bus is named after her for allowing me the time and finances to get this project underway, we are going to call it Emily the Magic Bus. Please take a look at the following pictures and give me your feedback

Site Suggestions / Drawings
« on: August 18, 2015, 04:46:33 AM »
Would it be possible to start a thread of drawings, both plumbing and electrical that would not be taken down in the near future? lots of time is invested into drawing them and it would be nice if they were not eliminated for space purposes!

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Leak at the union
« on: August 16, 2015, 03:22:38 AM »
Some of you may remember the manifold I posted a picture of a few weeks ago, I finished it yesterday and put the pressure to it, we had a leak at the union on the main heat exchanger that didn't get tightened enough but all the sweat joints held 28 pounds of water pressure all night. This manifold has 6 working radiant zones and 2 spares for future use, ( one 3/4 inch  and  one 1 inch ) the one inch I think will be for a future gas wall hung boiler and the 3/4 inch for possible future solar thermal. I hope the pics work, we are pretty happy with the way it came out!

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / I lost an old friend Friday morning
« on: August 02, 2015, 05:00:10 AM »
Those of you who have met me in person probably have met my old hound dog Samantha, Sam put a lot of miles in with Dan and I, we did a lot of shows together as well as traveled to installs. If the old Ford was on the road, she always wanted to go on the camping trip, she was such a great traveling companion for us, I left home last wednesday bound for Vermont and a quick tie in, we decided that with the heat to leave Sam at home, Mary Lou called us a few hours from home on the return leg to let us know that she had passed away peacefully here on the property! Sam has been with me since she chose to walk into our home and lives 13 years ago, she was at the time estimated to be 2 years old. She will be sadly missed by us all here at home and I'm sure by our old customers that have had the pleasure of meeting her! If you have a dog, Please spend time with it as we have with Sam! My uncle, whom I got my Love of dogs from has a plaque on the wall of his pool room that says ( Heaven is where all the dogs you have ever loved, come to greet you at the gate), I am 53 years old and have never nor will I ever be without a dog, truly mans best friend!

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Fire safety
« on: June 24, 2015, 05:36:20 AM »
Recently I was made aware of a fire involving one of our units that had been installed inside a wooden structure, not a good or common sense move by the owner, ironically on my way to the Yoder's dealer meeting I stopped at another customers home in southern PA that has another of our units, this one was installed by a service guy that is familiar with installation, he installed this unit with only 4 inches of clearance above the unit to bone dry spruce framing and wooden pallets on the floor that butted right up to the legs of the boiler on all sides, PLEASE use your heads folks, even if the owners manual says that the unit can be installed indoors and the boiler is cool to the touch, keep in mind that you will have live sparks and possibly flashback that occurs when opening up the feed door or cleaning ash, I would rather not sell the unit at all than to see somebody lose a building or possibly hurt someone in a fire, PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL ANY OUTDOOR WOOD BOILER inside a wooden structure that does not have proper clearances to combustible materials and NEVER store any amount of any flammable fuels such as gasoline, diesel, paint or anything of the sort that can produce fumes within the structure

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / ROAD TRIP
« on: June 13, 2015, 05:23:08 AM »
Well the old Ford and new show trailer are set up and ready to go on a road trip to promote the
HeatMaster G series boilers, our plan is to travel the extreme northern NY corridor out from Plattsburgh through Messina and on to Watertown and then head south to PA. We are looking for dealers and sales in that area so if any of you have ideas, Please PM me, the G 200 that we have on the trailer will be operating while we travel so if any of you would like to see it, again PM me and perhaps we can make it work, after PA, we have been invited to the the Yoter's near Roanoke Va so that is our last stop before turning around and heading home, we will be trying to post pics of the trip along the way for all to enjoy, if however we can't post them here then they will be posted on the other forum that RSI started a year ago so you can see them there, you can find the link by searching here entitled ( anyone with me) The last time I tried to post pics on here the uploader was working so I hope that continues but the alternative is that site, RSI if you get a chance would you please post that link again for me here.

Equipment / Trailer parts
« on: May 30, 2015, 06:34:08 AM »
I pulled the brakes off my service trailer yesterday because they were not functioning well, they are Dexter 3500 pound axles, the brakes shoes were shot, bearings not good drums junk and magnets not looking good, with one phone call and a few minutes online to Trailer Parts Superstore out of Delaware, I now have all the replacement parts headed my way, I must say that Chris at the Trailer Parts Superstore knows his stuff and at what I think was a very reasonable price. For any of you folks out there that have a trailer in need of repairs, these folks have it together and are very good to deal with, my total cost including shipping was $317.95 to rebuild the entire brakes on 2 dexter axles.
