CrownRoyal or WoodMaster
« on: November 14, 2014, 05:42:46 PM »

Hello

Looking for some help deciding on what boiler to go with. I have done lots of research and have narrowed it down to the WoodMaster or the CrownRoyal based on dealers that are close to me and features of each boiler. But I can't decide. I'm leaning to the CrownRoyal because of the 409 stainless steel fire box.

What do you guys think and also what boiler do you have and how long have you had it?

While at first the stainless might sound like a good ideal, it's hard to find competent welders that can actually repair stainless in the field.

If properly taken care of a mild steel boiler can last a long time.

The door gasket and the blower flap are a regular maintenance item on the Woodmaster. I haven't had any issues with my auger yet.

Anyone here a dealer for outdoor wood boilers in Va? I'm located in Spotsylvania Va. I have looked at Heatmor, Woodmaster and CrownRoyal.

Do any of the companies you are considering have a dealer locator on their website?

Have not had to much luck with the dealer locators on the web sites. Was hoping to find someone close that deals with HeatMaster. I am just leary about the stainless steel fire boxes. Stainless steel sound like it is the best but looking at forums it seems like lots of problems with pin holes and welds. I really like the features of the CrownRoyal boiler. Is there anyone on this site that has or had one?
