Title: My new to me ride
Post by: Roger2561 on July 21, 2019, 03:34:58 AM
For as long as I've been riding motorcycles, I've always wanted a Honda Goldwing.  It's considered the "Cadillac" of the motorcycles.  I happened to be scanning craigslist last week when I saw dealer in my state had a 2012 for sale.  I know I can't afford a new one, the price is stupid, out of my range.  This 2012 only has under 15,000 miles, essentially she's not even broke in yet, with a price tag of $12,500.00.  I decided to call the dealer to get a feel of the condition of the bike.  The sale rep said she's in excellent condition.  I put a little money down to hold her until I could get there to see her in person.  I wasn't disappointed, the paint job sparkles, it's color is candy apple red, absolutely stunning.  So on Friday with the help of my nephew we trailered her home.  I hope the pic came through.  Roger

Replacing the Kawi or keeping it as a toy?

I traded in the Kawi for it.  They gave me the trade in value so I think I got a pretty good deal.

Nothing wrong with that! Goldwing is a super nice bike. First time I rode one and found out they have reverse I almost wet my shorts

Thanks.  I'm really loving this thing.  It is different in every aspect from any other motorcycle I've have ever operated; heavier, maneuverability, ease of operation, etc...  To top it off she gets what I consider great fuel mileage, ~45mpg, not too shabby for a 6 cylinder.
