HeatMaster / Re: B Series info
« on: October 09, 2017, 09:04:02 PM »
Glad to see Heatmaster added a touchscreen controller and remote monitoring for the B-Series. I would love to see a Wi-Fi module for the G-Series in the near future.

We've been using the silicone permeated braid for a bit now for all of our door gasket replacements and in any kits we send out.

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Re: More Moderators
« on: September 11, 2017, 08:14:28 PM »
To be fair, anyone seeking to use this forum to promote their product either by attacking their leading competitors or through shameless self promotion should expect, in my opinion, a rebuke from any fair moderator. To expect a moderator to recuse himself over every "potential" for a conflict of interest is in my opinion taking it a bit too far. In looking back in the forum, I see instances where the moderators stepped in to keep the conversation civil long before Marty started selling boilers.

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / What's Your Fire Wood Handling System?
« on: September 03, 2017, 10:10:01 AM »
I'm sure there are some amazing fire wood handling systems between all you forum users. Ran across this the other day.

Back during the winter of 2006, we were burning approximately $800/mo. of fuel oil. During the summer of 2007, Dad went into partnership with his brother Randy to buy a small outdoor wood stoves business from a friend that was moving out of state. We've never had the tank filled since.

In parts of Germany they have put back up the holocaust era signs as a reminder of a past they're not proud of https://www.thelocal.de/20161019/how-germany-remembers-the-holocaust-world-war-two-nazis-jewish-history-germans

Did some digging and found this page on the official Wisconsin.gov website. It indicates, among other numbers, that the average Wisconsin household heating with electric spent about $2400. An average water heater will cost an average household approximately $781 per year. From rough figures and miscellaneous articles around the internet, it appears that the average household with a swimming pool spends up to an additional $800 per year heating that(if they heat the pool). Even with the cost of an outdoor boiler rising a bit on average post-EPA, it looks like outdoor boilers may not be a thing of the past yet. Looking forward to this discussion. Comment below what you're heating and what it would cost without the boiler. Are you buying your wood or getting it free? How does that stack up

Here in Wisconsin, the countryside is made up of thousands, probably millions of 10 to 40 acre fields, each surrounded by a fence row determined to slowly take back the land cleared in the 1800s. Just about any farmer will jump at the idea of having someone trim up his fence rows free of charge.

For Sale / Anyone looking for a boiler hauler?
« on: July 22, 2017, 03:55:52 PM »
Just a heads up... There's an outdoor wood furnace hauler for sale about 10 miles from us. We're currently not looking for one but I thought I'd drop a link to the craigslist post in case anyone on here is looking for one...
