If you decide you can or you can't you're absolutely right. I don't know who devised that quote but it's absolutely right.
They can each do it with a different amount of pumps. Good luck to you and whoever you hire!!

Depends what kind of performance you want. For a more economical type, some companies make stuff in corrugated drain tile that comes with either 3 or 5 wraps of bubble wrap insulation. Available on eBay I think. We have 3 wrap and it's never caused any problems whatsoever. Maybe we don't know what we're missing. They also sell solid core foam stuff also available on eBay. It loses less heat and isn't supposed to be able to water-log. Rau-Pex should be good. Really there are all kinds of brands and it should all be good stuff.

I know someone who did the math and they said by the time it's done you're better off buying a standard premade line

I'd go with a Heatmaster. Shaker grates and ash pan really set them apart.

Somewhere on the unit there should be a sticker with the manufactured date. That would give you a good idea of what it's worth.

If you had the warranty transferred into your name you probably still have some warranty coverage. Contact HeatmasterSS or your local Dealer to find out

They've been using Certified water treatment for the past few years. It works better on non-pressurized systems.
