Just saw the New Fisher Stoves wood boiler web site. Has this guy, Larry, started another new company? After closing Free heat Machine and opening Biomass Direct has he closed Biomass Direct and started another new company>
-
I saw one of these on a trailer behind a bio-mass direct truck. Was Orange like a pumpkin very good looking but awful color.
-
I would like to hear from someone who owns one of these next year.
-
The "New" Fisher Stoves is just another company Larry has started since he closed the doors at Free Heat Machine 2010 so they didn't have to deal with all the warranty problems. He started a new company in 2011, same furnace different color--he changed it to grey. I was not the only one ripped off by this guy Larry and Free Heat Machine. Now he has started another new company--Fisher Stoves--same furnace changed the color to pumpkin. This is the same guy in all the videos from all three companies. He has that same phony good ole boy trust me act. It seems there should be a way to get the word out so other people don't get hurt like I was.

Are these stoves even epa phase 2 approved? I don't see it on the EPA list
-
I did some checking and the Fisher Stoves OWB is not EPA approved and his Biomass Direct OWB is not. Free Heat Machine OWB the company he closed in 2011 was not EPA approved either.

It is a post from a man in Old Forge NY who this Larry sold a Fire Heat Machine that has major leak problems. He is planning to contacting the Attorney General in TN about how he does business.

I have heard horror stories about this. Larry guy and his free heat machine / bio mass direct and now fisher stove boilers. They all look the same with the same guy Larry in you tube vids I live in east tn and when I first got into looking at the owb's I seen his place in Jonesboro tn the free heat machine. So I said one day I am going to get info on the outdoor stoves drove by and it was closed down. So I said this is no good I am interested in a stove and no one has any Of them local well I started researching online come to find out I am glad I didn't get suckered into buying a free heat machine anyway he has moved to elizabethton tn a few miles up the road with same boiler with new paint and name which is now biomass direct and now he has a new stove looks just like other 2 just new paint and no which is now the new smokeless fischer outdoor wood furnace u can put a stick or 2 of wood and get burntimes for days lol. So if you have any complaints people I am pretty sure this guy is running shop along with Tim arrwood in elizabethton tn look them up. I found 2 dealers in my area that sell central bioler and heatmaster I decided to go with heatmaster because the dealer has been around and seems to take care of his customers. Anyway while I was doing research a guy I work with knows Tim and Larry and refered me tO talk to them about owb's I asked him if he knows anyone that has dealt with them and he said know and I told him about all the complaints people have about how they do business and if they truly are shady business men with 3 company names with same prod with different name there is something fishy going on there I hope all the people who was done wrong I hope you get justice!

Here is your sign
This guy has been in and out and in and out of business numerous times........
The stoves themselves don't look bad, but I've never seen any of his companies stay in business longer than a year or two
-
Thank you guys so much. After seeing your posts I did some checking on my own and found even more negative thing about this company and it's past. I'm still looking and will get a OWB this year but it won't be one of these.
This is a great site for anyone who is like me and who wants to buy but needs all the information I can get.
-
I live a couple hours away from the area Larry is located in and hear plenty of stories. To make a long story short just stay away from his furnaces.
-
I put $4,000 down on a furnace with Larry at Free Heat and he said there was a delay in delivering then he closed the company and I didn't get my furnace and I didn't get my money back. Now I see him on Biomass Direct and Fisher Stoves videos. lasor1 you are right about Larry. Glad you didn't get taken by him like I did.
-
Buyer beware!
-
Maybe Larry is related to Arthur LOL
-
Larry Boyd did the same thing to my family when he was at Free Heat. My mom loaned us $8000 for the deposit on the furnace. The delivery date was put off and put off until he closed the doors. We lost it all. I filed a complaint with the Tennessee Consumer Affairs. Thanks for the information about Biomass Direct and Fisher Stoves.
-
Merritt sorry for your loss. Hope the TN consumer affairs can help you and the others I've seen on other sites get some money back from Larry Boyd.
-
I wanted to let Merrittco & Wisrimmer know there are at least 4 more people who lost their deposits to Larry Boyd and have filed with the TN Consumer.
-
Does anyone have an update on the Larry Boyd-Biomass Direct-Fisher Stoves investigation with the TN consumer affairs?
-
