I might try to see if shrink wrap will last sitting outside. the sun will probably break it down but maybe it will last a year.

Didnt ford credit take bank bailout money? Not trying to start anything just saying they may not be as innocent as some think.

Great idea Littlejohn. I was thinking of an easy way to get it cut up. I need to build me a rack like 2' by 2' and around 16' long and just band them before i cut them up. I wonder if a saw would get pinched alot.

Anybody have any experience burning this stuff. It is the scrap off of the edger. I've burnt slabs before and seems like they go fast but I didn't let them dry long enough. I don't want to waste my time because I can get a lot of the stuff. I guess the best part would be no splitting.

I initially installed a side arm. It didnt keep up with two showers back to back and would run out on my kids baths. Now I have to admit that my hardy didnt always supply 180 degree water when my radiant heat was on so that could make a difference. I installed a 20 plate before my water heater and havent ran out of hot water since. Easy decision for me if I had to do it over.

Did he have a swimming pool? Maybe the heat exchanger was letting pool water in. I wouldnt want to pay 3000 unless it was fixed already. Not much more and you could have a new ridgewood stove

Wish there were more units rated for indoor use. Common sense just doesn't cut it anymore.
I do not understand.... why would one want to put an outdoor wood burning boiler inside a building?  I thought the whole idea was to keep the mess and chance of fire outside of the building structure.  :-\  Just trying to understand why you desire to have more inside use rated units.  Thanks.

Only because the law pertains to Outdoor hydronic heaters. Just a loophole i guess. I am sure it wouldnt matter anyway because they are just taking small bites and eventually you wont be able to burn anything for heat.

Some people have them 10 feet and others 100. I would check with your homeowners insurance to see what they require. The farther away you are the more your insulated pipe will cost.

If you were a contractor and ever watched a plumber and hvac guy eat their lunch you should be able to install one :bag:  Their is alot of info on the web and alot of help on this site. the most important part of the install is sizing everything correctly before you start in my opinion.

Plumbing / Re: Uponor (Wirsbo) ProPEX versus ViegaPEX PureFlow Crimp

I used the crimp fittings just because they were available. Lowes and Menards both carried them. If I need anything in the future I can get it without ordering. As far as fitting size in tacos formula a 1'' 90 only adds between 2 and 3 feet of pipe to the calculation. unless you had several fittings you probably wouldn't notice the difference.  For me the crimps were easier to put together but hopefully you only do the plumbing once

No problem. You are more than generous with information and offers to help.  Looks like that pump is just stuck together by the gasket but my experience is limited to taco pumps.  I got some coal today. I think i'll save it for high heat loads. that stuff really stinks when idling alot.
