ordered parts
« on: September 25, 2014, 08:29:55 PM »

I just ordered an 18 x 18 water to air hx  and a bumblebee pump, I am excited for the mail to come.  I will order a 20 plate tomorrow I think.

I've been working on my parts order also. It's starting to look like I might have a heating system running this year.

Chicken that is my goal,  tell me about your setup.  I think I'm going to be about 30 feet away from my lower garage  so I can just walk out my door to feed the beast.  I'm going to get into my basement garage than run 1inch pex along my ceiling  to the furnace area along side my water heater.  I think I might have a primary loop. one run that goes to my 18 x 18 water to air coil in my duct, one for a 20 plate exchanger, and I would like to install a hanging water fan heater unit in my upper garage.  I'm not sure on how big that unit is I'm getting it from my neighbor  he scrapped it out of an old building.  It would be sweet to keep my upper garage warm all winter  it's about 25 x 28  6 inch thick walls fully insulated and ceiling fully insulated, along with a 2 inch insulated garage door.   I just need to do some homework on other pumps and see how to zone everything.

My system is very basic. I will have one loop - hot from the OWB to a sidearm on the water heater to a heat exchanger/blower unit back to the boiler. The circ pump will run all the time and the house t-stat will cycle the blower as needed. The stove will chug along happily by itself cycling the draft door from the aquastat. This is my crunch time setup for this year. Future plans include staple up radiant floor, and more control over water temp (proactive control versus reactive control).

Funny you should post that. I was looking at those today. I just posted up in the electronics section of this site. I've read some of that pump saying it seems cheap. What do you think of it? Are you planning on running it on deltaT mode?

Yeah I'm thinking delta t  I like the pump I guess, it's smaller than I thought it would be. Nothing is done yet with my install yet I'm getting material as I can afford it. I should have everything I need ordered just waiting on my 20 plate and my 18 x 18  I bought some 1inch pex already and some valves. Just need to do some work
