The EPA certification and regs are federal, and apply in any state. I think Indiana has their own state regs too? Mlappin would know.
I haven't heard of any EPA enforcement but I wouldn't want to be the first.
Indiana basically took the EPA law and passed it as their own, so even if the EPA law was ever repealed Indiana’s would still be in effect, I also believe your only allowed to use a OWB from October 1st to May 1st. My guess somebody somewhere was burning green wood or garbage in one upwind of an Indiana House members home.
Ditto, haven’t heard of any actual fines being levied against anyone, wouldn’t want to be the guy they decide to make an example of either. I feel for our dealers or a dealer of any brand in Michigan. Michigan passed a resolution not to enforce the EPA regs, that doesn’t negate the federal regs, it just states a Michigan employee won’t enforce em. Unlike some believe, it doesn’t make said regulations null and void, an actual EPA employee still could. If the EPA or feds really want to make Michigan toe the line all they have to do is threaten to with hold federal funds for non compliance, then Michigan will be doing a Sig Heil right quick.
