WoodMaster / Re: Woodmaster 4400 Baffle Rod Broke
« on: February 14, 2014, 02:41:20 PM »
Hey Steve,

Mine did the same thing.  Have you fixed it yet?  I ended up calling woodmaster and ask them about it, they guy I talked to said it is a 5/16 x 2 stainless steel bolt that hold them together.  I just have mine pushed all the way back right now.  He said in order to fix you have to climb in the firebox and manually slide out the plate and he said it is a slow process, then bolt it back onto the rod.

Let me know if you do this or if you have already done it, I'll be curious how it went.

Are you going to stay around as a member or mod or tech support Phin and does the new owner plan on revealing himself?
Thanks

I will still be here as a member.  The new owner should reveal himself very soon.

Lugnut

Hey everyone,

We have successfully moved the site without losing any info.

I also just wanted to let everyone know that the message board is in good hands with the new owner.  He wants it to run everything just as it was run before, he knows the success and importance of the message board is in it's members and keeping things "as is".  He truly only wants the best for the message board and wants it to continue to grow and be successful.  If anyone has any suggestions for improving the forum, please comment here.  The new owner is very eager to keep everyone pleased.

now that the cat is out of the bag i guess for all of us here it will be ..wait and see.

Thanks Phin for all you did to bring us folks together to share in our experiences, good and bad and help one another through some of our learning curves. I hope this site remains and i also hope it can be for everyone. i know there are many dealers here now and we can still all get along. it is my wish that that if one dealer bought this site that they can see clear to not stop others from posting. the forum has grown to include may different makes and i would like to see it continue. fo all the friends i have made here you can always get hold of me. my email is in my profile

thanks everyone and i hope to see your posts on the board again

phin we can all only hope the new owner is as open minded and generous as you have been good luck in your next and all projects

WillieG

Thanks WillieG.

The new owner has said he wants to keep it as his.  I do not believe he is a dealer or manufacturer or any OWF's.

Thanks for all you did, and the refund!!!  Will the web address, and all, be the same after the transfer?

Yes, that is the plan.  I will hand everything over, so the name and all info will transfer.

Dear Message Board Members,

I will be handing the message board and domain over to someone else to run and maintain.  First thing Monday morning I will be taking down the message board to transfer the domain name and message board over to the new owner.  Hopefully they will have it back up and running pretty quick.

I just want to thank everyone for a great run and making this message board what it is, when I started this in March of 2008, I honestly thought it would never turn into anything, I never thought we would even get any members. But look at it now it is a pretty big community of outdoor wood furnace users sharing there knowledge and experiences.

To all of those that donated money to keep the message board up and running, I will be issuing refunds today.

Thanks again to everyone, I really do appreciate everyone's efforts in making this message board what it is today.

Ok, they should all be in alphabetical order now.

Looks  good

While you are changing things around, any chance you can place the brands of furnaces in alphabetical order?  I've been coming on here now since October and I still have to search for Shaver.   :bash:

If everyone is ok with sorting them alphabetically then I will do it.  My concern is, most people are used to where they are located on the main page.

Last question , is there a way you can make it easier to post photos on this site?  I think I can speak for many on here that have tried, it's sure difficult to post photos without jumping through a bunch of loops.  I shouldn't have to send my photos to Bull for him to re-size them and post.  I'm NOT computer literate and I'm a simple fellow as I get older...and that's the way I like things...easy and simple.

Lugnut

I increased the file size allowed to be attached to 2 MB per attachment and the size of the entire post can be 10 MB, hopefully that will help.

I re-organized the main page.  Just wanted to get some feedback, if everyone likes it doesn't like it?

I just want to thank everyone for the donations, we were able to get the money needed.  I was able to register the domain name for another 5 years, and the hosting for another 2 years.  I am so thankful for all the folks on this message board, I honestly didn't know what kind of reaction I would get by asking for help like this, but the reaction was 100% positive and within just a few days we had the money, so thank you all for your kind words and support!!

I made it an sub-category under plumbing.  Do you all think that looks alright?  Can you tell that it exists?
