RidgeWood Stoves, defunct, support only / Forced Air Option
« on: December 31, 2014, 06:24:04 AM »
For those of you that don't know, Ridgewood is now offering a fan option on their stoves. To retro fit an older stove it's around $250.

If anyone currently has one or is planning on installing one, please let us know how it works.

Equipment / Huskee 35 ton engine
« on: December 22, 2014, 06:42:27 AM »
I'm looking to replace the hard starting, recoil eating 12hp B&S on my 12 yr old Huskee/Speedco/TSC 35 ton splitter. I know there is a "cold/hard start bulletin" on the engine but figured after parts and labor It would be just as cost effective to replace the entire thing. Any suggestions?

RidgeWood Stoves, defunct, support only / 6000 / 7500 pump hook up
« on: October 01, 2014, 12:56:09 PM »
Just took delivery of my 7500. After checking it out, I found there isn't too much room for pump hook up without the pump(s) hanging out the bottom of the stove frame. I'm trying to stay away from a bunch of 90's in the pumping. Anyone care to post pics of their pump hook up? Thanks

Hawken Energy, support only / How long have you owned a Hawken?
« on: August 24, 2014, 02:48:37 PM »
I'm thinking of upgrading from my 2005 Wood Doctor WD14000 to a new Hawken HE2100 or a Ridgewood 7500.

I'm curious how long you have owned a Hawken. Also the pro's and con's or any issues you may have had.

Thank You

Wood Doctor / Leaky WD14000

Well...It finally happened. My 2006 boiler plate 14000 started leaking at the chimney/firebox weld. I had it rewelded and now hoping for the best. Who else has had leaks and where? Post em up!
