Empyre / Re: Empyre 200 issues like others.

without starting with a brand new boiler or cutting that metal off the fire box and welding a new blower box on i honestly feel you will never get all that stuff clean enough to get a epoxy or a painted on substaints to stick to the walls. The holes are just to small on my boiler to get it that clean imho.

Ive seen them have damage that far up, its always back next to the cool fan

I think it was clearly stated enough that it was not all engineers.  There are good ones and bad as with any other profession.

34
Its def not all engineers but some of them take the cake

Yes I get where you are coming from but there are also engineers that don't have the field experience to get the concept that some designs don't always go according to plan.

Most, but def not all engineers I have met can tell you all about how everything should work, but for some reason the tools to do the job dont fit there hands....

Had one guy once who was an engineer for marathon petroleum who was gonna help me install as part of his deal, poor guy couldnt figure out how to use a ratchet, no joke

The pump should not be on the return line. Elevation will not make a difference. Only time it really matters is if the boiler is lower than the house.

The head rating does not have a lot to do with the elevation. It is the restriction in the system that it applies to.

With Logstor I would not use a 009 pump. Depending on the BTU load, I would either use a 0015 or a 0011. (0015 is the smaller pump of the two)

I just dont see as much fascination in this, they do work indeed but id just assume to take that money and buy actual solar panels

I think Rand Paul would be even more perfect if he had a better plan to fix our unfixable education system, as well as develop a firm plan against same sex marriages.
Can you believe that some imbreds actually believe that passing out birth control to teens is a positive means to prevent unwanted births?

I just dont feel the govt needs to be involved in so many aspects.   It used to get me riled up over same sex marriage, but now I say, well, thats the least of our probs, if they wAnna marry a rock just say ok to save argument lol

The nearest  Z dealer is over 100 miles away from me. Still looking at the 5 wrap Badger. How much a ft is the Z plus I would have to pay shipping.

we ship it all over the country....  the insulation is thicker and a higher quality buy your gonna end up maybe 8 per ft with shipping

In regards to the insulated pipe im installing at home now I am using a 5 wrap product from z supply.

Why?  Conduction of heat, creating barriers for heat to cross vs simply laying in contact with cold wet soil.

In one scenario a guy pulled thermopex through 6 in schedule 40 and saw a 75% reduction in heat loss vs burying it direct

He sealed both ends of the pvc and placed temp sensors inside to monitor it.  With no hear flowing through, his temps ran 47-48, under full load at 180, the air in his "pvc plenum" stayed around 85, creating a barrier to the cold soil.  He said it lost 75 percent less heat.

Why I went with z supply is its great about heat lost but I agree that logstor has tougher casing, so I pulled there 5 inch casing through 6 in pvc, the vapor barrier of z supply is another key factor, ur foam filled products dont have that I just took it a step farther to create another dead air space or pvc plenum for my pipe to run through
