Willie,

The photo is on its way to Bull.  I didn't find you hijacking any thing.  I just have problems uploading photos onto this website.  I suppose it's a ME thing.   :bash:

Willie- That makes two of us! I was using IE9 and switched over to Firefox, but it did not make a difference!

I can open links to pics and see pics in the gallery, but when you guys post the pic in a post all I get is a paperclip next to the post. ( stamp stamp). If I click on it, a pop down window pops up and it says "loading", but it never does, so I move on.  :bash:

Regarding the location of the feed line for the tank.  Atop my DHW tank, there is a port for "cold" water and to this is connected a line of copper pipes and this in itself is the "cold feed" for the house.  There is a "T" just above the feed valve that leads to another shut-off valve and this in turn is my tank fill line.  Does this make sense or do I have to shoot another picture and forward it onto Bull ( who I know has got to be getting tired of posting my photos for me).

I wonder if Shaver has a break-down of the structural framework of their OWB "before" they put the siding on them?  this "might" give me a better idea of how we went wrong, if indeed we did go wrong connecting the line to fill the tank.  I'm so darn confused now. :bash: :bash:

From what I see your not hooked into the valve line.  thats why the valve does not do anything.  See that corrugated copper line in upper right of picture, there should be 2 of them and those are the ones that go to the valve.

looks like your filling via the return line to the OWB and by passing the valve.

Okay guys...problem solved!!  I rang up Church this evening, and we discussed my plumbing issues...no NOT those plumbing issues,   ;D  And we derived to the fact, just as Treewinder did that my issue stems from NOT using the corrugated water lines on the rear of the furnace.  Thus is why I have to turn off the fill valve inside the house and forget about the optional coat/hat hanger out on the front of the furnace.  Well wait a minute now, I suppose that I could just it just for that purpose now that I know it's not good for anything else.

Thanks for the input and mind benders and Bull, thanks for the pretty pictures.  ;-)

Jerry,

Glad you got that figured out, but if you wanted to still use  the vavle in the front (very handy)  put  a tee off of the returnline just before it enters the OWB and  up to the left corrugated copper line.

Then you could leave the valve inside open and use the one in front of OWB.

Ed,

Thank you for answering my question.  I was thinking about this last night while I was "supposed" to be listening to my wife.  I thought, surely there must be a way for me to utilize that valve "without" having to lay another pex line under ground, and you just answered my question, BUT...I will wait until Spring.

lugnut,  I had to put a pice of one inch pex tubing on the pipe to get it off my concrete
other wise I get ice buildup on the ground my 250 pisses out water for a long time after I shut the valve off
