steam fix

does any body use the steam fix on newer shavers or is it a thing of the past

Oh "that" steam fix....had me wondering as well at the first pot.  :-)  I used it up until it all froze over night.  I suppose it would have worked well had I NOT tried turning on the fill valve...long story and not enough coffee here at ho,e.

I did remember seeing another that was made out of many pipe fittings put together and on one side there was a thermometer that would show the actual temperature of the water.

So I suppose you just wanted a "brief" reply....no I do not use it anymore.

thanks for the input lugnut . not realy having alot of water loss from steam. turn on water valve for about 45 sec aweak.think i leave alone

Sometimes the cause is that the whole OWB is not level.  Recheck the front to back and side to side level.

IS TURNING ON WATER FOR 45 SEC A WEAK ALOT .HOW LONG DOES EVERY BODY ELSE LEAVE ON

mine is sometimes less then 10 seconds. i have a 6in. piece of heater hose with a slight up-turn on it. when i check the water i remove it , turn the valve on and when water starts to come out i shut it off immediately and slip the hose back on. this should be done at your high setting.
