Title: finally hooking up my shop....
Post by: markpallen on October 04, 2017, 11:59:14 AM
Hi guys. Its been awhile since I bugged Y'all with questions but here we go again.I am running a second primary circuit by t"ing off the outlet and adding another pump.
On my wood doctor owb I need to put a 90 degree turn at the back of the owb. I can put it either before or after the new pump but would like some input on which is better practice.

Are you saying you would either 90 down and then hang the pump v. mounting the pump horizontal and then 90-ing down?
I try to mount vertical to allow air through.

If I’m understanding this correctly, ditto on the pump vertical.

All our ag spray equipment uses 2” line, it’s hard to believe how many times an airlock can be a problem in a suction line but it does happen. With the pump vertical any air can shoot straight thru it.

Yes guys thats exactly what I'm asking. Thanks a bunch. I figured there had to be a reason one way was better than the other. I also knew I'd get good advice here. Thanks again!

X3 on the vertical mount. Please make sure there is at least 4" of straight pipe on either side of the pump before any 90's to prevent turbulence and cavitation. It kills flow and pumps
