Ok, working to connect my underground REHAU PEX pipes to the stove pumps, issue is these PEX pipes are very rigid --- any inputs on how to bend/flex the PEX coming off of the ground for connection to the stove pumps?

Thanks

Where do I buy REHAU underground lines?

Please post a link or phone number.

Thanks

Edit: Themoplex/Logstor pipes will do as well. I just need the good/quality stuff.

Any dealers that I could contact?

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Boiler Pex Lines Redo v2
« on: February 19, 2018, 04:48:23 PM »
Well, times had come to redo the pex lines from the stove to the house.

I have the original 3 wraps lines shipped with the stove and am losing great amount of heat plus on initial installation I committed the biggest sin, "spliced" (a rookie mistake) underground connections and now I have massive leaks.

With that said, everything is coming out and will be installing new lines this spring. The insulated pex lines I have eyes on are on the link below:

Anyone with experiences from this store, the sellers and the lines themselves?

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Ecobee Smart Thermostat and OWB?
« on: June 16, 2017, 05:07:31 PM »
Would an Ecobee (Smart Thermostat) work with an OWB?

Does anyone has one installed and working, if so, please share installation experiences and wiring?

I know when my Ridgewood OWB was initially installed a certain type of thermostat was required.

Thanks!

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Wood Storage and Termites?
« on: April 03, 2017, 04:15:10 PM »
Has anyone ran into issues with termites due to the storage of firewood?

I've over 6 cords left over from the burning season and usually will keep out in the backyard until next season arrives. Does anyone has any suggestions to keep termites from getting anywhere closer to the house?

Of course, the home has been treated already but due to the amount of wood out back, termites would be around --- how do you folks deal with it?

Thanks!

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Turning Pumps On

How often during the "off" season (for those of us which do not burn other than winter) do you run your pumps to "exercise" the system?

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Firing OWB On and Off
« on: January 29, 2016, 10:13:55 AM »
I'm new to the site and this is my first time owning and operating an OWB, so far so good, I own a Ridgewood and am very happy with the results. I'm in NC and the weather here, specially this winter has been very mild. The lows at night around 36 and the reminder of the day 40-45 degrees and often times reaching over 50 degrees.

My question to the experts and members with more experience is this; could I, should I fire my OWB only in the evening when its cold enough to have fired up and then shut it down in the morning and through the day then, fire it again early in the evening?

Thanks!
