I've wanted to try one ever since I heard of them. I have a buddy who sells oak firewood and his hydraulic splitter broke down and had the opportunity to try one and he said it was the cats meow....

Stratton - how long have you had them last before they need replacement and if they go down are they easily repairable?

Yep, all kinds of contraptions out there to split wood with, a lot of them are a good way to hurt someone as well.

Same here, wonder what happens if that baler finds something it doesn't want to split?

Shrek, Wicked easy to fix. Keep an eye on sm bearing under rack, grease daily it will last 50-75 crds if greased.  cost $13.25.... The only other problem i had yrs back was a employee bent the rack. Super split owners are saying (how the hell do you do that) but it happened.Rack and gear did not mesh after that mishap.Easy fix probably Rack $375 Gear$275 im guessing. But, i cant stress enough that the super split is a kick ass machine. 2 yrs back i sold tw6 cause of the difficulty in moving and the god awful amount of scrap it produced. just my 2 cents. Luke give me a call 203-610-7667

Yep, they have a part one for that thing as well. Guy claims that he can't afford a hydraulic splitter but I guess the emergency room is free.

that baler splitter is not really that fast
you figure the time he waits to line himself up and time putting the block on the beam,
he looks like he`s scared of the thing.
plus that big block he split all he got was toothpicks
usless, really no faster then a regular wood splitter
plus the block size is not nice.
as far as the super splitter,i still like the desigh though
much safer the that baler
no splitter is safe though.
i can  think of two people who have chopped fingers off on splitter
just part of the hazzards of heating with wood
