I guess I'm lucky, I grew up on a farm, then drove truck for 35 years. One day getting out of the truck my ring got caught on the Nader bolt, only thing that saved the finger is I'm 5'11" and I was on my toes hanging by my finger. I've been extra careful every since. Good luck with the search.

Worked with a guy that lost his footing climbing into hid tree stand years ago and hooked his ring on the metal steps he screwed into the trees. Hung there a very short time and then lost the finger.

Hell yes boys I found it!.. Days of raking and slowly removing coals it popped right up to the top today after raking.  I'm so thrilled.  Honestly looks like a turd.  Shape has remained the same gave it many scrubbings , along with Bar Keepers Friend to remove the rust and what not.  Looked like slag on the grooves carved that out over night,  I'm so happy to have my ring back.  Does not look look the same but going to polish this beast as reminder of what life brings, this ring has truly been through the ring of fire and sits on my finger today.  To me no matter what troubles marriage brings in the future I have the answer... Sitting on my finger, persistence, time, and understanding things workout in time if your willing.

Good news on finding your ring, might need to put a little weight on to keep it from slipping off so easy. I suggest doing that 12 ounces at a time.

Your photo wasn’t displaying so I checked your link and couldn’t fix it.

Oh it will polish up, try a scotch brite pad for starters.

Actually this time of year mine looks really polished as wearing chore gloves outside does the polishing every time you move your fingers.

I’ve had weld splatter on mine, cement dried to it, epoxy paint, etc

I know it will, doing all I can to get my ring back in shape.  Trust me I have had epoxy, paint, and you name it all over this ring trying to remodel my business.  Thank you for all your kind words and encouragement.  Was about to give up but each member kept  responding and I thank you for that.  The ring is a bit loose but happens during the cold weather, no problems in the summer.  I have lost some weight stoking the fire each night with a conventional stove. HAHA..
