Hank are you using a side arm to heat your water. Or are you running water straght from yor boiler can really tell the the pictures.

Most hardy's the hot water is heated inside the boiler itself.  If you look at the picture in this link (below) you can see the domestic hot water coil the water heats up while it runs through this coil then back into your hotwater tank.
