Second year on  my 2840. So fare I love the ease of the boiler. I had a Woodmaster  before the 2840. I love that you can shut off the blower when it warms up during the day lately. Then switch it back on at night and have it roar to life.

In my opinion the phone company has the right to do just about anything (not that I agree) with that "eminent domain" law. About five years ago AT&T came across my property  with a high speed line. They  screwed up the lawn and put a pole in. Just like I needed another pole. Because the the border between the two companies is in my next field. I could not get the service. Hang tough make them replace the pipe. Its not your fault.

I agree with RSI. Let the insurance company do the lawyer work. Good idea.

First off what kind of line did you have? Second boiler water line should never be spliced underground . It was their  mistake and they should replace the whole line. They should have know better. I am sure they heard of Miss dig. Rise cane and kick some sand with them. It was not your fault, you should not have to settle for a half a--  fix.

Pets become part of the family. Our family had a grade mare for twenty-three years and she was acting like a filly during a early snow storm and broke her leg. She lay out there winning for me to help her. Had the vet come and put her down. My kids grew up riding her and the neighbor girl grew up ridding her. My son and his buddy next door used to load her up with fishing poles and lunch and the both of them would go fishing over at the river.  Everybody was mess when she was put down.

Yep, suddenly these outside wood boilers that are illegal are legal when inside of a shed.  They're also out of sight, so they can't be inspected from afar and penalties hurled without first obtaining a search warrant.  Be smart about putting them inside of sheds, but at the same time, why not?  You're not living in the shed, you typically don't keep your valuables in there, and you're not going to go inside if the shed is on fire.  Yeah, you don't want your shed and firewood stash and boiler to burn up, but in the end, if it does, all you've lost is a cheap shed, a boiler (which is mostly rebuildable), and a firewood stash.

The install at my last house had an open sided structure with the roof half covering the boiler so my firewood was dry under cover and you could load the boiler, under cover.  It was fantastic.  At this house, I plan on getting a cheap carport to do the same thing.  An all steel structure isn't very flammable and it's absolutely glorious not to have to dig your firewood out of the snow or uncover it with a tarp in the rain.

Good post. Epa needs to get out of our life,

Speaking of global warming. We have not seen that old global warming woodchuck Al Gore crawl out of his hole lately and check his shadow.
