Title: Missing Material On Inside Door
Post by: DBeleskey on May 18, 2021, 08:34:18 AM
I have a Polar G2. When cleaning up after shut down this year I see that the lower clean out door is missing a piece of the ceramic or firebrick type material in one corner. To replace it I have to buy the whole piece which is about $275 CAD plus shipping.

My question is, it is a small piece out of the lower corner, don't even know where it went, is it something that is really important and should be replaced or should I just keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get any bigger. Also, I wouldn't want to have to change it out in the winter months...

I have attached a couple of pictures, hopefully they help with my description.

I wouldn't worry about it. It's not in the hottest part.  Keep an eye on it.

Thanks

I was hoping to be able to live with it. It's not a big chunk but, I didn't want to cause any damage.
We will see how it goes.
Thanks again for your input, greatly appreciated...
