Hi guys , I just found the site a couple days ago , and the folks here were kind enough to include Mahoning furnace's here with the others . I'm in the process of buying a OWB and alot of guys are going with the Mahoning because there is a real good dealer in the area . I know there not stainless and I have heard they smoke alot ! Ther seems to be a real debate over stainless and mild steel , and as far as smoking ,I think it would depend alot on the user . I hoping I can find some guys here that have the Mahoning and can give me first hand experince with them , good or bad , bring it on !! Thanks

Well I went with the mahoning , I like the coal capability , I can burn all coal or wood or both . Has a good heavy grate system . I have my pex in the ground and getting ready to pour concrete pad this weekend , things are looking good !!!! Any other mahoning owners out there???

You will have to post some pics of your install.

Why would you buy a product that's only warrantied for 3 years vs some that are 25 or lifetime?
can also burn coal in other models too

I just bought a Mahoning 200. 4700$ After the excavating, plumbing, wiring and heat exchanger, I should be right around 6000$. The unit comes with a 40 plate dhw exchanger. I have a buddy with the same model and he loves it. Preparing my pad now and the unit will be here in May.
