What is the best way to drain the system in order to switch the supply and return lines?obviously I need to let the system cool down but then what do I do?

I have a sneaking suspicion that the man who installed my wood burner switched the supply and feed lines accidentally what is this going to do to my stove and how can I fix it

I have yellow ice sickle formations on my stove Any idea what this could be or mean?
