It is a Wolfe Ridge brand. Made in Eau Claire WI.
I don't think they make a model for on excavators but you might be able to get them to build one for you. They don't make the sideways version anymore.

Take a video of you splitting wood and then watch it. I bet it will also look
slow. If not, I was to see it.
Having someone help line up the wood would make it go much faster. The toolcat can't manuever quite as good as a skidsteer but doesn't tear up the ground and make a huge mess like they do.
The splitter has a 30" stroke and I think the average size of the rounds was about 20" most  of them were forked. Also not sure if you noticed but it has a y way wedge so each

It this the central boiler thermostatic valve or a thermostatic mixing valve for setting temperature of your floor loop?

Yeah, when they put the message on the site about possibly not getting more, I ordered a pile of them. Getting low now and hoping I can avoid having to raise prices.

Where are the ones you used made?
What models do you usually use? it looks like then 21, 30 and 32 would pretty much cover everything.
Having the 32 would be a good pump to sell as a Taco 009 replacement. i don't care for that flow curve but would be a lot easier than figuring out what the correct size is each time someone is replace those.

Bringing back an old thread hoping to see if there is any new info since then. The place I was getting Grundfos pumps from no longer sells them  so my costs will be a lot higher. Wilo seem to be priced decently and from what I found so far are not made in China. (looks like France?)

About 10 years ago they were considered trash but I thought I had heard they were a lot better now. I am wondering if part of that was because most people used to mount the pumps on the top connections on outdoor boilers and when going to the bottom happened to coincide with dropping Wilo?

The last few replies to this cancel each other out. LOL

Anyone used any in the last couple years with good or bad luck?

Plumbing / Re: Brass fittings

What kind of fittings are these? Is your pump way oversized?
I would collect a sample in a clear jar and let it settle and see if there is much sediment in it. if there is then I would install a filter.
If you haven't had the water tested recently, I would look into getting that done.

General Discussion / Re: Coldest Weather Of The Season On The Way

It was in the 50's here yesterday then dropped to the single digits overnight. Supposed to be back in the upper teens tomorrow which would be nice if the wind is gone.

The pictures of it looks very similar to a lot of other brands that used the same general design. They had a trough at the top of the firebox. The smoke entered at the front of the firebox and then went back to the chimney from there. Then there was a sliding door directly below the chimney that was connected to the lever on the front above the door. You pulled out on the lever to open the bypass door while filling the stove to let smoke out easier so it didn't come out the door as much.
Most of them would detach the lever from the plate if you twisted it before pulling it out. If it is just loose feeling then it is probably out of place.

25
If you look inside the firebox directly below the chimney, do you see a square or rectangular panel? If so, it is attached to the lever and it supposed to be able to pull out when loading the stove to make less smoke come out the door.

HeatMaster / Re: Air Flow Issue
« on: November 30, 2020, 04:14:11 PM »
Did you look down the chimney and make sure there is no buildup, especially just above the fan where it goes to 6"?
If you have a chimney cap without mesh in it, it is pretty common to have birds in there plugging it up.

If it doesn't seem to have normal door suction then I would start by making sure the chimney is completely clear.

If the pump is making noise, it might have some air trapped in it. If you close and quickly open a valve on the return side a few times it usually will purge out small amounts of trapped air.

Plumbing / Re: No hot water to the heat exchanger
« on: November 17, 2020, 07:56:02 PM »
If the water flows the opposite way that the air does then you get more BTU output. If the water goes in the bottom and out the top, it usually purges the air better.

It sounds like your heat exchanger or something in the line is plugged. Is there any way you can disconnect both lines and connect to domestic water line to try flushing it out?

The 007 should be moving water. Are you sure it isn't mounted backwards?
