Supply and return

Ok maybe I got some bad advice locally. I just have one question,it may be simple but I honestly don't know the answer. On the back of the wood boiler, which valve is for supply and which is for return.? One pipe is at the bottom of the tank and one is half way up. I live in a rural area and people don't seem to know as much as the great people on this site.

Interesting. My stove has the supply on the top and the return is on the bottom.

Just finished plumbing the OWF this afternoon and my manual shows lower are return and upper for supply. Sure hope this is correct because I struggled enough with that dang pipe and don't feel like changing it now.

Thanks Slim, I will be attempting the inside plumbing this weekend or Monday and will probably have some questions.
