HeatMaster / wood placement testing
« on: February 07, 2017, 04:44:37 AM »
So i have been trying a few things with wood placement and want to see other peoples results as well. My G200 is almost a month old and i have been getting 12 burns without a problem but was getting alot of coal so i went from placing wood in from front to back to now left to right in the firebox. My result has been shorter burn times, more wood consumption and less coal and more powdery ash. Mlappin has touched on this and just wondering if anyone else had or jas the same results.

HeatMaster / smoke

Sitting here on this balmy 15F morning while my house is a cozy 72F i notice for the first time in the 3 weeks that i have owned my G200 that it is giving off a medium amount of blue smoke. Ideas on why?

So maybe its when i fill mine but i notice since i just shoveled some ashes out of my fire box last week since it was built up to the bottom of the stainless panels it has been maybe a full week and it looks like i have to do it again. Is this normal or am i not letting it burn down enough before reloading? as far as the gassification chamber i have had to remove nothing and we are going on 3 weeks pof in service this friday.

HeatMaster / testing the new G200
« on: January 30, 2017, 05:58:41 PM »
So ive had my new G200 alittle over 2 weeks and i wanted to put it to the test today. So my house always sits at 70F. When i left this evening i turned thermostat up to 75F. Came home 2 hours later to the blower still running (forced hot air)  but thermostat was reading 75. Went out to boiler it was running hard at 168f. Outside temp was 19F. Boiler did a great job keeping water up to temp and this was the hottest burn ive had yet, not a stitch of smoke out the stack.

Funny you call it sexy Neal, I had this discussion with the office last spring when they said they wanted to go back to the orange and black colors, I feel the bluuuuck green is very sexy, how about you? :-*

i like the grey and black how mine is!

HeatMaster / Burn times
« on: January 30, 2017, 09:49:05 AM »
So new G200 and am curious on what others do. I check my boiler every 12-14hrs and very rarely is it out of wood. does it hurt to fill it with more wood to get longer than a 12 hr burn time? i bet i can get close to 24hrs if i fill the fire box right up almost 3/4 full? i dont mind doing every 12-14hrs since i like spending quality time with this sexy unit anyways. i just know that central boiler recommended 12hr burn times due to letting the firebox dry out.

Plumbing / Water Temp sensor
« on: January 17, 2017, 10:51:25 AM »
just throwing this out there. I have a New Heatmaster G200 and wondering if there any type of wireless sensor that can be installed anywhere in the supply side of the plumbing to be able to monitor the water temp coming from the boiler via cell phone or PC?

Just got a new G200 installed by Mainly Custom ( Richard E.) Couldnt be any happier with the install. After an overview of thenunit i love the simplicity! I'll post pics tomrrow and give future updates as well.
