Pretty cool. Couldn't find a price anywhere but I imagine that if ya gotta ask, ya can't afford it. Weighs 6 tons, but only cuts logs up to 21 inches diameter, which to me, seems pretty small by North American standards.

Agree, I cut 21s with a 20 bar all the time. Arent talking a real tree till I need to break out the 25 or 30 bar.
Ran a 25 at the stump and 57 long log thru my processor last winter, that about made a truck load right there.

I usually buy a load of logs, and the average seems to be about 16 to 18 inches, but there is generally a few logs around 30". I have watched videos of my friends "to the south" splitting up blocks and have seen stuff that must be close to 5 feet in diameter. You split something 60" and instead of having one big heavy piece, you now have two! :photo:

I do like the ideal of using your own tractor though, tractor takes a dump, drag it out of the way and hook another up. Thats how we mowed hay when we had the dairy, always had 5 or 6 Super 88s Oliver diesels around, blow one up, drag it in the fencerow, hook another up and get back to work.

Yeah, except that having to use the PTO from your tractor also means you need a second tractor to load the machine. That's why when I was looking to get a splitter, I didn't get one that ran off my tractor, so I could still use it to manage the timber stack.
You have to admit though, that Splatfix video is firewood porn! ;D

Yah, can still do it with one tractor though, just need a self loading processor that uses a hydraulic winch.
