Title: Low water switch

Low water light came on when I started up the furnace.  Water level is fine, and the light goes off when I bypass the switch, so I assume that I have a bad switch.  Has anyone swapped out (maybe just clean) the switch?  If so, where is it, and how do you do it?

It is behind the control panel. You need to drain the water down to that level before removing it.
It just screws into a threaded port. There is a float on the end that could be stuck. if you remove it, you can check that. There is an arrow on it that has to point straight up and make sure you don't re-install with it rotated 180°.

Yeah I had one go kuput it is an easy fix like he says but it is a pricey little piece of plastic.

I've wondered why the manufacturers don't have their dealers install the low water level switch when they are setting it up instead of shipping it already installed?  I think the ride aboard a train or truck causes some of them to break.  By having the dealer install it in the OWB at set up the switch would be protected and perhaps last longer.  Luckily for me when mine failed on the CB Edge 550 it was while it was still under warranty so it didn't cost me anything other than the few minutes it took me to change out the old for the new.  The new one is stainless steel so the chances of failure are much less.  Just my $0.02 worth.  Roger

Also, just noticed these bubbles in the paint on my door.  I don't remember seeing them when I fired it up a few days ago.  Anybody else had this issue?

I'd contact your dealer, looks like moisture or creosote has eat through from the back side.

You are right again Mr. Yoder....they are sending me a new stainless door.  They said that is an upgrade from my model year.
