Solar Panel for Hot Water
« on: November 18, 2011, 11:18:35 AM »

I have a Legend.  Is anybody using a Solar Panel to heat/help heat the water in their OWF.  Or just using the Solar Panel in the summer time just to heat the hot water for the home.   If so, could you explain how this works and if it is economical.

Thanks

I would probably consider a solar panel(s) as a standalone for domestic hot water only.  It should be great spring, summer and fall and would likely be helpful in the winter months.  I believe the evacuated tube style is considered the better technology but I am not up on the latest trends.
