water temp up to 214!
« on: October 08, 2014, 08:41:00 PM »

So I came home and checked on "the hog" (Ridgewood 6000) to see how it's doing and we'll steam was flying out big time.  The damper door never closed I just touched the door and it closed I hope this doesn't happen again.  I played with it a little bit and nothing seemed to be sticking but it did just happen. I was wondering if anyone else had this similar issue.  Thanks guys.  Also I'm up and running thank god but I may want a bigger pump when it is pumping on low I somehow get air in my return line I think. Thanks again

Man that sucks.  Do you think some sort of lubricant on the hinge would do anything?

Tomorrow I'm going to look at it
It's night night time. I don't think I lost too much water at least

Not trying to stick my nose in here guys and I am not very familiar with that stove, would a weighted , adjustable bolt such as on a barometric damper help with the sticking flap.

Could you post a picture of the flapper? I'm sure we can come up with something.

Outdoor furnace owners.  That was the group on Facebook.  If anyone wanted to join or care to see, some of the guys here are on it, I think someone on here started it.

If you need to make your images you're trying to load onto this site, do a search for "image resizer", it's a free download and it's easy to use.  I use everytime I need to load a picture on this site.  I hope this helps.  Roger
