Title: temp probe

Has any one changed the temp probe is it in a dry well or on the water went out to load my stove last nite and temp was jumping up and down around 5° I wanna pull it out and check it but don't want a bath of steaming hot water

I don't believe it's in a thermowell. If memory serves me correctly, I asked Craig about that before I bought my stove. I think he told me that the thermocouple is attached to the wall of the waterjacket and then spray foamed over. I work with industrial controls, and in 20yrs I've only very rarely witnessed the thermocouple going bad. I won't say it doesn't happen, but my money is on the controller. And now that I've said that, it probably will be the thermocouple...........Sorry.......

It's working fine now it's not spray foamed over if u pull the cover off where the wires come out to got to the door it's right there

To me it don't look like it's in a well I could be wrong
