I've noticed comments from other members stating how cold it is in their area, or questions from one member to another asking what part of the country they call home. Basically, would it be possible to add a field that a general, or specific, location can be added to our profiles ? Some may not want to update, but I think it would be cool (no pun intended) to see where a member lives that mentions temperatures, price of wood, or seasonal questions. I've shown my 2840 to several people in my area only to have been contacted by them asking what part of the state of KY I reside. By the way, I should have installed a wood boiler when I built my house 20 years ago ! Absolutely love it. Thanks in advance for all your comments to this post. Stay warm...

I show my location in my signature at the bottom of my posts. You can contribute to your signature by editing your profile.

Okay, the option to add a location already exists ;D
Hover over Profile right under "Outdoor Wood Furnace Info" at the top of the page, "Summary" "Account Settings" and "Forum Profile" should be listed, click on "Forum Profile" this should take you to a page that you can modify your signature, avatar, birthdate, etc. Enter your location using "Personal Text"

For whatever reason, some people have trouble navigating into their profiles to add where they are from.
It would be nice if it had to be added to there registration info and then showed up as they post.
It's frustrating reading a post and some guy say's" it's done this way around here" or "it's warm here" etc etc

Just click on the person's username. It isn't a required field but most have a location.

I’m sure it can be, I just don’t have required permissions to edit the required fields.

Some guys arn't on here enough and figure it's too much hassel adding it to their signature.
Oh well,, no big deal
