Looks to me like Arthur and Hawken should get together and start their own business adventure.....2 peas in a pod here folks.....

A full load get's me a good 24 hr. burn of constant 180 degree water.  When I go out in the morning to fill it I still have a big hot coal pile in there that nicely starts the new wood I pile on top of it.  I just pull the creosote clean out rod each morning and pull the ashes out about every other day.  Been pretty simple so far.

Yes 2' x 3' sounds right.....it's a huge opening for wood to be loaded.  I like the elbow room.  I can put anything in this thing!

Don't forget Boiler Plate steel folks!  The exact alloys and brands used are trade secrets....but there is a reason why industrial companies use this stuff.  A516, A387, and A588 are some of the most popular alloys.  This product resists the effects of weather and temperature variation.  Only a very select few of the higher quality OWB's use boiler plate steel!

I went with a Cadillac 5600.  You can go to the following website and read about it for yourself.  Make an informed decision.....I looked in detail at over 24 different brands before deciding on this one!

I have a 40 acre parcel that is mature and heavily spotted with Cherry, Oak, Hickory, and other nice hardwoods. I am looking for a mill logger who is paying fair market prices, insured, and has a vouchable reputation of doing a good job and not creating and leaving a mess. I am in Rock County, WI and would like to find a business that folks on here would recommend and substantiate thru personal experience. I want to select cut approximately 200 full size mature hardwoods from the property. Please let me know who you would recommend....please no middle men or local tree trimmers. Thanks

Actually.... by the time you purchase the parts you need and put several hours into the repair and change over.....your over half way to buying the brand new splitter.  And the one you just fixed is now what.....30 years old?  More stuff is gonna break or wear out.
