Anybody add a light to the front of the burner? I can't figure out why they didn't put a light in the front for loading it out night

I can't figure that out either. I think it made it cheaper to get them UL certified or something.

I was working on a light kit to put on the front that has a switch to shut the blower off/turn light on and digital thermometer on it. I have one I was going to mount on my brother's NCB-250 but never got around to it.

Yup...  I tried to special order mine with lights on the front but no luck.

Where do you think the best place to mount it would be? I was thinking as far the left as possible to help keep out of the smoke somewhat.

That's a question we've all asked 200 times lol.  I have yet to get a believable answer haha.

I have no idea why, but for the light to be on the back looks goofy and in my opinion cheapens the stove.  I'll have folks as why is the light pm the back?  Since I really have no answer, it makes the dealer look like an idiot too

I think the front location for a light is too close to the firebox door(at least on mine).  It would get fried if you had a roaring fire going and opened the door with the fan on.  I use I head lamp.

I have taken the light off the back and put it on the front to satisfy my customers. With Wood Doctor, they put the light on the front left with no problem. It is connected to a 3-way switch that makes it possible to turn the light on OR the fan on with a single switch. Far superior option.
