I over tightened brass fitting! I think?

Any of you over tightened 1" brass? If not maybe give you something to think about. So I'm very bummed I finally got done with all the plumbing part of install and went to throw the water on to fill and check for leaks and discovered not one but both of my bypasses had leaks at the T's. So now I'm faced with fighting my probably overtightened fittings loose and struggling with undoing my almost to short of 1" pex. I'm thinking the one T is not over tight because it only had a very small pin hole in side but the other I'm thinking was my fault because it was split at the seam. Now I'm only hoping after repair that the others hold together when I throw some heat on them. Just thought I would put this out there for anyone else with the over doing it disease.

I had a few fittings leak also, but when I put the heat to it they stopped.

 Every threaded connection I had at my heat exchanger leaked when I ran water through it. I tightened it up till it wouldn't tighten anymore.....still leaked. After I opened up the boiler water valves(already hot) and started circulating the water they stopped completely and haven't leaked since.

I would keep an eye on those connections next year when you shut the boiler down. They may return when they cool down.

What kind of thread sealer did you use on the fittings?

If you have leaks at the pex barb fittings, make sure there is no tension on the pex at the fitting. If there is or was, the heat may have allowed the pipe to relax and take enough off to stop the leak at least temporarily.
