Empyre Pro 200 Air Inlet Tube Cleaning

Just fired up my Empyre Pro 200 for it's 3rd season here in SE PA and had some trouble with blockage of the air inlet tube.  After removing the blower I found that the much of the tube was blocked solid with creosote.  After heating with a torch from the inside of the main burn chamber I was able to get a small electrical fish through the tube which I used to pull in a small piece of chain.  After working for a long time with the chain and not getting very far I gave up and lit the stove.  Seems to be burning fine.

Anyone developed a good method to clean this air tube?

I haven't had your problem but after my first year I ran a chain down the tube to make sure it was clear.  when I started the second year it ran fine.

Just dropping a note in here as well. I have a Empyre Pro 100 and don't seem to be getting airflow into the unit. I followed some instructions from Empyre to clean the bottom air channel but it doesn't seem to have helped. I don't see anyway to "drop" a chain in my 100, does anyone have any suggestions of how to take the blower off to ream out the channel?
