Shutting down wood boiler
« on: February 10, 2021, 07:21:05 AM »

Need Input, I will be going on vacation for 2 weeks with no one to feed the stove and I do not run glycol, with temp's expected to be in the single digits. My thought is to just keep running the pump only to keep water circulating and not to freeze.
Any thoughts or suggestions !

You’re primary source of heat in the house should back feed heat to the boiler.

I stuck a space heater in the back of mine and covered the top, left the pump running worked ok for a week.
