Flash,

Your just wanting to heat the 900 sq. ft? A 12 x 18 is 90,000 btu at 180 degree water! Where are you located? If it is well insulated you should be able to heat that with 20 to 30,000 btu's!

It's easiest to buy an exchanger to fill up the space it will be placed in. To put a smaller one you will have to force the air thru a smaller area then designed which is not recommended, too many btu's will not not hurt anything, the fan will run less with too large an exchanger just don't go to small. 8)

I have an 18 x 18 I haven't had any cold weather yet but the heat coming from the ducts are hotter than my furnace ever had.   :post: I agree more btus the better, you fan will run less

That's correct sizing is not critical like sizing a condensing furnace.

Yah, but the less the fan runs the more chances of warm and cool spots in a room, longer fan times help to even the heat out in a room. We have a guy that seems to do about everybody's AC and heating in the area, if he's running his AC or heat he puts the fan in manual mode and leaves it run 24/7.

Mlappin is correct all I'm saying is that if you go to big it won't hurt anything except like mlappin said you might have cold and hot spots.

Use caution when ordering as they typically size by rad size and the frame is about an inch wider than the rad, specify outside dimension needed!
