Site Suggestions / Posting pics

Ok, I go to reply, hit add picks and it asks take a photo or pic from file, I pick file, tap on a photo which adds it to the little box and hit post, the line that shows it's loading goes over about 1/4 of the way and stops. I can wait forever and it does nothing. I hate technology

General Outdoor Furnace Discussion / Running the water pump?
« on: October 18, 2013, 05:17:32 AM »
Had the HVAC guy out yesterday to go over my furnace, makes my wife feel better. Anyway he was looking at my system asking questions and he asked one I couldn't answer. He wanted to know why the water pump on my boiler wasn't tied to my secondary thermostat that runs my blower on my furnace during the winter? He thought it would keep the water warmer staying in the boiler outside vs circulating all the time when the blower was not in use.  Told him it might have to do with keeping the water all the same temperature but really didn't know. Help me out guys!

deceided to take out the switch on my furnace and put a female end of an extension cord on the side coming from the electric box and two male plugs, one from the inside furnace and on from the outside furnace( pump and light) figure i can unplug from the panel in a blackout and plug into my generator. here is the crazy thing, when i did this everything works now including my condencing unit outside my house. threw the breaker to turn it off but i cant figure this one out. i did nothing inside the furnace or anything outside on the air unit.  its like what the heck just happened?????????????????. figure i can have the hvac guy fix it in the spring. but i wish i had an idea of what happened.

Fire Wood / air conditioning using the same heat exchanger
« on: October 12, 2009, 08:06:13 PM »
was wondering if anyone has tried or heard of anyone doing this.  was thinking of runing 2 new pex lines to my pond and spooling about 1000 feet , sinking it to the bottom where it is about 55 . put a pump inside the house on intake line , shutoff valves on the wood stove pipe, and the air pipe.  summer pump the cold , winter switch and pump the hot.  somewhat worried about the condensation but i put the air handler at the bottom with a drain plug just in case.  i cant see why it wont work, but hate to spend the time and money for nothing.  any help out their?????
